Running supplements for different sessions
A relaxed short run does not create the same nutritional considerations as a long run, repeated hill session or training in warm conditions.
The collection is designed to help customers distinguish between:
- normal daily food and water
- electrolyte intake
- carbohydrate intake during selected sessions
- pre-run food
- post-run protein
- optional products rather than mandatory products.
Electrolyte+ vs Intra Carb+
Electrolyte+ is the hydration and electrolyte focused formula.
Intra Carb+ is the carbohydrate-focused formula, supplying 25.3g total carbohydrate per serving. It is better suited to customers who have deliberately included carbohydrate within their longer run nutrition plan.
Cream of Rice before running
Cream of Rice can be used where a rice based carbohydrate meal fits the runner’s normal food plan and pre run timing.
It should be prepared and trialled during normal training rather than introduced immediately before an important race.
Protein for runners
Whey ISO+, Vegan ISO+ and Prot3in Fusion+ provide different protein sources and formats.
Protein powder should be positioned as a convenient addition to total dietary intake, not as something every runner must consume immediately after finishing.
Stimulant products
Caffeine intake should be assessed against tolerance, time of day, total daily intake and event rules.
